Teach Parents Tech

Teach Parents Tech is a new Google project not yet published published this morning.
teachparentstech.org

This project is a very ambitious project that is aimed towards teaching "parents" (a.k.a., any non-tech savvy adult over a certain age) small tech tips such as Google calendar, resizing pictures, Gmail auto reply an much more. Because this is created by the people at Google, it would probably be more accurate to say that it teaches "parents" basic PC and Mac skills but mostly things which can be done using Google.

Google uploaded lots of videos already to a playlist in this link.
Google placed a link on their official blog to a very funny cartoon to show why this is needed.

Knowing Google, I expect them to ask people to share with them tips they think will be useful. (And if they don't, I'm not sure how successful the website will be, since "parents" often use the computer for things other than the internet- even non-savvy one). Tell me which tips you think should be there, or comment here and I will try to make a video tip for that myself.

If you are going back home for the holidays and want to enjoy your vacation instead of spending all your time giving tech advice, or if you just want to help any technophobic friend or family learn small tips you should share these videos with them.

UPDATE:
The site is online and now you can create a customized email to share with Mom, Dad or anyone else.
Just choose who to share it with and which video you think they should see.
Good luck and happy holidays.
